As most people are aware a vote was done to introduce trials for players wanting to play I/L for Halifax A & B.

    Thoughts?

The captain is to be voted by retained players and any new players who qualify. Top 6 from averages retained.

surely the captains should be announced before trials?

    Why do you say that?
If that was the case it basically means that any "new" players cannot put their hat in the ring for the captaincy position. The captain essentially will have no input into who is retained or who trials so he/she may aswell be selected from a FULL squad rather than part of one.
