    Merseyside A 26 - 18 West Yorkshire A

Congratulations going to HIPL players Rikki Cliffe & Jason Armour for earning a place in a depleted A side.

    Merseyside B 21 - 23 West Yorkshire A

A fantastic win against a side sitting 2nd in the table which coincided with a fantastic team spirit. If we had that kind of spirit in more matches I'm sure our results would be much better. The victory was made all the sweeter by the fact that so many regular players had failed to make the trip across for one reason or the other. Andrew Patchett getting the call into the senior side and performing well to take 2 out of 4. We also had to call on Squad manager Keith Hiscocks who chipped in with 1 out of 4. Finally we had another debutant in the form of Senior referee Pete Arundale who donned his white gloves to play his part in the victory with a 2 out of 4 performance.

Special mention to the HIPL boys though who yesterday made up 55% of the county squad with 12 out of 22 players plying their trade in our league.

Very Happy Have to agree with you there Boner, "CONGRATULATIONS" to the players who got the call to play.

Just shows you what a good league the HIPL is. Only 2 divisions and 55% of the 22 players were from the HIPL.
That's an excellent showing from our players.

The league standard can only get better with the experience these players are getting. Wink
